root: Your AI Helper

Meet root, the AI assistant for your online shop

root is the AI assistant inside Adyvance, the commerce platform for sellers in Nepal. root answers questions from your own shop's products, delivery charges, payment methods and policies, writes posts, offers and product descriptions, and in the Sampark inbox replies to customers, including order status after a phone check, until your team takes over. root changes nothing in your shop.

root at a glance

  • root looks things up in the seller's own shop to answer: store details, the shop's FAQs, products with prices and stock, delivery areas and fees, payment methods and published policies.
  • In Sampark, root answers customers with only what the shop chooses to share, and gives an order's status only after the customer's phone number matches the phone on the order.
  • For the shop's team, root gives sales summaries, finds orders and customers and lists low stock, within each staff member's role permissions and only from that one shop.
  • root cannot change anything in a shop: it does not edit orders, stock or customers, and it passes placing, changing or cancelling orders, payments and refunds to the team.
  • root also answers how-to questions about Adyvance and writes social media posts, festival offers such as a Dashain offer, and product descriptions.
  • root uses root AI credits paid from the Adyvance Wallet, and a reply that looks things up in the shop uses more credits than a simple answer.

How root works

  1. 1

    Open root

Click root head at the top of the Adyvance admin. root waves, greets your store by name and asks how it can help.

  2. 2

Ask about your shop or ask for text

Ask how many orders came in today, what is low on stock or how to print labels, or ask root to write a post, an offer or a product description.

  3. 3

    Use the answer

root looks up what it needs in your shop, within what your role can see, and answers in the chat. Follow its steps or use the text it writes.

  4. 4

Set up root for customer chats

In Apps, open Integrations and set up the root AI agent: its channels and hours, what customers may see, its tone, its first message and when a person should take over.

  5. 5

    Turn root on in Sampark

Switch root on in the inbox. root takes new and unassigned chats on its channels, and you press Take over to answer any chat yourself.

What you can do with root

Answers from your shop

root looks up your products, prices, stock, delivery fees, payment methods, policies and FAQs, and answers how-to questions about Adyvance.

Sales and stock at a glance

Ask for today's, yesterday's, the last 7 or 30 days' or this month's orders, sales, average order and best sellers, or what is low on stock.

Order status for customers

Once the customer's phone matches the order, root shares its status, payment, total, items, courier and tracking. It never shares the address.

Posts, offers and descriptions

Ask root to write a social media post, a one-line offer for a sale or festival, or a draft product description to edit.

Replies to customers in Sampark

root answers customer chats on the channels you choose. With the label on, customers see “root (AI)” next to its replies.

Hand-off to your team

root passes a chat to your team when the customer asks for a person, uses one of your hand-off words or needs a person to answer.

Hours you choose

Let root answer all the time, only outside your shop hours, or only on the days and hours you set.

Your shop, your rules

root reads only your own shop, shows customers only what you share, gives staff only what their role allows, and changes nothing.

Pay for what you use

root's answers use root AI credits, paid from the Adyvance Wallet. Replies that look things up use more credits than simple answers.

Made for selling in Nepal

Ask the way you type

Ask root in English, in Nepali, or in Nepali typed in English letters, such as “Dashain offer ko lagi ek line lekhdinu na”.

Your own delivery charges and COD

root reads your delivery areas with their fees, days, cash on delivery and free delivery, and the payment methods you have turned on, such as eSewa or Khalti.

Order status without a phone call

A customer asking where their parcel is gets the status, courier and tracking after a phone number check, and your team gets fewer calls.

Customers answered after shop hours

Set root to answer Sampark chats only outside your shop hours, so evening messages get a reply and your team picks up the rest in the morning.

Who root is for

A shop owner between deliveries

Asks root for today's orders and sales and what is low on stock, without opening reports.

A seller who posts every day

Asks root for a post, an offer line or a product description, then edits it and posts it.

A small team that cannot watch chats all day

Lets root answer questions on products, delivery charges and order status in Sampark, and takes over when a customer wants to order.

Questions About root

Straight answers about root in Adyvance.

Ask us on WhatsApp
Is there an AI that replies to customers for my online shop in Nepal?

Yes. Adyvance includes root, an AI assistant that answers customer chats in Sampark, the Adyvance inbox for your website chat, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok. You choose the channels, hours and what customers may see. root passes a chat to your team when a person is needed, and anyone can press Take over to answer the customer directly.

Does root know my products and delivery charges?

Yes. root looks things up in your own shop when it answers: products with prices, options and stock, delivery areas with fees, days, cash on delivery and free delivery, payment methods, published policies and your FAQs. Customers see only what you choose to share in root's settings and only active products. root reads your shop alone and never answers with another shop's data.

Can an AI chatbot tell customers their order status?

Yes. In Sampark, root tells a customer their order status once the customer's phone number matches the phone on the order. root then shares the status, payment status, total, items, courier and tracking when your shop shares tracking. It never shares the delivery address. If you have not allowed order status in root's settings, root says your team will answer.

What can root do in Adyvance?

root answers questions about your shop from your own data and explains how to do things in Adyvance. For your team it gives sales summaries, finds orders and customers and lists low stock, within each person's role. It writes posts, offers and product descriptions. In Sampark, it replies to customers until you take over. root changes nothing in your shop.

Can I ask root questions in Nepali?

Yes. You can ask root in English, in Nepali, or in a mix of both, including Nepali typed in English letters. For example, you can write “Dashain offer ko lagi ek line lekhdinu na” and root writes the offer. The Adyvance admin itself is in English; root answers in the language you ask in.

Can root take or change orders for my customers?

No. root cannot change anything in your shop: it does not edit orders, stock or customers. In Sampark, root passes placing, changing or cancelling an order, payments and refunds to your team, and the chat goes back to Unassigned. To stop root for the whole inbox, switch it off in Sampark, and every chat it had returns to your team.

How much does root cost?

root uses root AI credits, which you pay for from the Adyvance Wallet, the one balance for your plan, SMS, root credits, ads and services. Each answer uses credits, and a reply that looks things up in your shop uses more than a simple answer. When credits run out, root asks you to buy more, and in Sampark its chats go back to your team.
